Enterprise education in non-economic subjects

Valnalón coordinates the activities of COPIE2 Enterprise Education Subgroup. COPIE2 (Community of Practice on Inclusive Entrepreneurship) is a European Social Fund learning network. Policies and practices are analized in order to identify and facilitate the exchange of best practice at a European level so as to avoid the reinvention of the wheel and shape future policies.

Tuesday, 19 Oct, COPIE2 gathered in Brussels 51 delegates from more than 15 different european countries  to discuss the future of enterprise education in Europe.  The main topic was how to make education more enterprising regardless of subject.  Three main goals were identified:

1- Raise an awareness among teachers whose subject is not directly related to enterprise/business/economy.

2 – Identify tools and methodologies that enable this transition in the school/classroom.

3 – Teacher training experiences using this broad approach to entrepreneurship

The event structure included 2 workshops where participants had the chance to learn from existing good practice and discuss and work in teams to anticipate next practice as regards methodologies and teacher training.
